Program Development

The program development area of the Pre-Collegiate / Youth Programs provides leadership, support and guidance, and serves as a resource to internal and external constituents in the creation or enhancement of pre-collegiate programming.  Our goal is to develop relationships with University departmental staff and faculty while supporting them in their pre-collegiate endeavors.  At the same time, we strive to develop relationships with our surrounding community by maintaining a strong presence of service, whether it is with community groups, corporate, educational or non-profit organizations.  Our goals include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Collaborate with internal and external constituents on training, planning, scheduling, marketing, and evaluation of pre-collegiate programs.

  • Work with colleges, departments, and external clients to provide general guidance and support, or to arrange for programming details for youth programs by coordinating housing, meals, publicity, pre-registrations, registrations, financial management, risk management, transportation and facilities.

  • Assist in the development of comprehensive marketing materials for University pre-collegiate programs, including coordination and streamlining of marketing efforts and assisting with development of internet/website interface for constituents.

We work proactively to produce new and innovative programming both for the summer and year round.  Our goal is to engage and connect the University community with the surrounding pre-collegiate community in the tri-county area of South Florida and beyond.
