We invite you to the Boca Finance and Real-Estate Conference at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, USA on the 12th and 13th of December 2024. Scroll down to register!

The conference theme is “Interest-Rate Risk and its Impact on Banking and Real Estate.” The unprecedented increase in interest rates orchestrated by the Federal Reserve Board during 2022 – 2023 has profoundly affected the values of long-duration securities as well as the values of fixed-rate mortgages and commercial real estate. We are looking for papers that document and analyze these effects.

We invite the submission of original papers on this topic but will consider other topics related to banking, financial institutions, corporate finance, commercial real estate, and residential real estate. 

The conference offers an interdisciplinary forum to gain feedback on timely working papers from scholars in the accounting, economics, finance, and real estate disciplines.

Notification of Acceptance: On or before November 5, 2024. Presenters must register for the conference on or before November 19, 2024, or their paper will be removed from the program.

Presenters will be expected to discuss another conference paper at the conference.
