Welcome to FAU's Intensive English Institute!

The IEI houses three different programs to help people with different goals and time availability learn English as rapidly and effectively as possible. Students who wish to learn English during the day for academic or professional purposes choose the Intensive English Track. Students who are committed to studying at FAU, who have applied to and have been conditionally accepted to FAU, and who need to fulfill only the English requirement to complete their admission process choose the Conditional Admission Track. Students with a limited time availability for studying (nights and Saturdays) choose the Continuing Education ESL program. Whether you need to improve your English skills in order to enter a university, to gain access to better positions in the workplace, or to communicate more effectively in an English-speaking culture, you will find a professional learning environment at the IEI.
